In 2015, at the heart of Frankfurt’s city centre, in the Westend district, Cyrus Moser Architects constructed a luxurious residential complex with ten residential units and underground car park. An exciting overall composition, balanced proportions and the peaceful linear design give the building elegance.
Thus, in spite of its size and the urban context, the building structure evokes associations with a modern villa. The reduced façade design of light Kirchheim shell limestone with little touches of brass and bronze as well as areas with champagne-coloured aluminium cladding are small eye-catchers.
The staggered arrangement of the floors on the fourth and fifth storey structures the building and allows the creation of roof terraces on the two upper levels using their offset.
The large residential units of up to 310 square metres have been planned for maximum light incidence with floor depth windows, balconies and loggias as well as for the greatest possible flexibility. Thus it was possible to take into consideration the needs and wishes of the future residents in the design of the interior spaces, the apartment sizes and partitioning, the floor plan layouts and the fittings. The result was a charming urban country living building complex with the formal individuality and top quality of a villa in Frankfurt’s best city centre location.
